Tagaytay Side Trip

We left Canyon Cove early at around 10 to have our lunch in Tagaytay.
Finally visited Bag of Beans :)

I told M to order me Vegetarian pie before I went to the washroom and was amazed by the bird, is that a parrot?
When I got back, M was smiling because he was able to order this big breakfast sampler plate without me making him guilty. Anyway, we're on holiday so forget the diet for now ;p

2 Eggs, Bacon strips, 2 Pork Sausage Links, Ham, Hash Browns and 2 Buttermilk Pancakes P390

Vegetarian pie P115, not sure if the filling is potato. It has carrots and a bit of greens inside too.

Forgot to take photo of the place...
But it was lovely and my kind of woodsy and rustic place.
While waiting for our orders, I also bought some pasalubongs from their bakery, i love their raisin bread :)

Then we also passed by the Good Shepherd store to buy some Ube jam :)

There are lots of new establishments in Tagaytay and here we are just starting to explore the place ;p

Memory Lane Tagaytay

For the 3rd time in a month, we're back again in Tagaytay!
This time, it's a get together with my highschool bffs.
One of them saw my Sky Ranch post and suggested that we also visit it.

I suggested to have our lunch first at the pretty place of Memory Lane.

We ordered their Tagaytay Bulalo (good for 4). Huge servings compared to Leslies.
Very tasty soup and lots of veggies and meat :)
M said that the meat is not as soft as Leslies but I didn't notice that hehe

Tagaytay Bulalo Php695

My friend was craving for a sinigang so we had another order of a soupy bowl.
asim kilig!
Sinigang Bangus Belly Php495
I don't know why they still order a bulalo steak ;p
The four of us were already full from the bulalo and sinigang.
This one does not complement the two soups that we had before.
I think it's better to eat with fried foods.
Bulalo Steak Php395

There is also an area inside where they sell assorted cute stuff.

After  our long chat of catch ups and satisfying ourselves with taking photos of everything,
we headed to Sky Ranch, where we continued our chat while strolling :)

Sky Ranch Tagaytay

We're back to Tagaytay again to celebrate my mom's birthday in advance.

Twapik!

Lunch @ Leslie's

There's a branch of Leslie's inside SkyRanch. Other food establishments I saw are Kuse, Uncle Cheffy, Rue Bourbon, Krispy Kreme, KFC , food stalls of Master Siomai, Bibingkinitan, Waffles, TJ hotdogs, etc (parang mall ba).

I chose Leslie's to experience eating bulalo again. Compared to Alegre's, Leslie's bulalo has a a very few veggies and a very, very soft meat :)

Other items we ordered: Sizzling Kangkong, Fried tawilis and Pork Sisig.
Hmm the kangkong taste weird, not good to combine with everything.

Then we went inside Skyranch :)
My lil bro and cousins enjoyed some rides while the adults just strolled around.

We also passed by Loumars.
Their buko tart (P190) is overly sweet for my taste and has very few buko fillings.

My fave take home of the day:

There was a manong who sells delicious suman cassava in Petron located at the fork going to Mahogany market. I bought 12 pcs for P100 :)

Tagaytay: Mahogany Market, Gourmet Farm

Tagaytay trip again! This time M and I went to Mahogany Market :)

I didn't notice their tarp while choosing where to order.
We only realized when we were seated, lucky for us to be able to try the "best".

Our order arrived immediately, Bulalo which is good for 2-3 persons.
The lady attendant helped us served the bulalo into to two bowls.
Our total order of bulalo + 3 rice costs P395

While waiting, I prepared our patis+calamansi sauce

Lots of Pechay!

This is the first time I tried bulalo in Tagaytay so I can't say if this is the 'best'.
For me, Nilagang Baka is similar to Bulalo in the way it is cook so I prefer a very, very soft meat and a very flavorful soup.
Alegre's version has a flavorful soup and a bit chewy meat or maybe it is because the meat has a lot of litid.
I thought we will not be able to finish that huge serving but the patis+calamansi sauce will
made you eat a lot of rice, sip the soup and just enjoy everything.

Alegre's staff were also very attentive to ask our needs and refill our bowls, how was that for a carinderia service ;p

Then palengke time :)

We bought: Tuyo and baby tawilis (3 for P100) ,
a pack of lettuce for only P30!

and Pinyapples. The jolly manong gave us a 3 for P100 deal from his usual price of P45 each ;p

and I bought a pot of sweet basil for P30 :)

I thought we can spot some coffee vendors in mahogany market but I can't find any so before going home, we stopped at Gourmet Farm for a cup of coffee.

We also went home with 2 packs of Manila Blend coffee and lettuce chips :)

We took the Silang road to exit at Carmona (first timers). :)

Short Trip to Gourmet Farm

Continuing our Tagaytay trip post...

As we ventured to Emilio Aguinaldo Hi-way,  a few minutes away (5 mins if I remember) from Rotonda is the Gourmet Farm.  We did not stroll around the area as it was extremely hot that noon. We just stayed at the store/cafe and checked out all their products.

Their popular Lettuce chips is very affordable at Php60 and Pesto Chips at Php70.
The Lettuce chips is kinda bland for me, so it is best eaten with dips.
I like their Pesto Chips instead, tastes just right even without dips. :)

Some photos:

Refreshing Juice at Php50

It would be nice to wander around the area, join the farm tour and activities, experience their buffet
and visit the chapel  (next time!).

Meanwhile, I saw a very helpful map in their FB, illustrating where are the churches that are worth visiting while in Tagaytay. So next time, hopefully the soonest, we'll include a visit to a church whenever we're in the area (as inspired also by Ms. January in her many Tagaytay blog posts)    :)

PS: I also saw this cool promo on their FB page:
