Ace Water Spa Review

Parking is at the 5th floor

Ace Water Spa at Ground floor.
View from the reception: the lap pool and the right side is where the hydrotherapy massages are located.

Taking of photos is not allowed starting from the dressing room.
The staff will get your stub from the reception and you need to surrender your footwear, then they will give your locker key while reminding you to wear spandex swimsuit.
I wore a one piece swimsuit plus a spandex cycling and brought my own swimming cap.

We spent a considerable amount of time in the hydrotherapy massages, waiting our turns because every massage accommodate only a few persons at a time.
My favorite would be the hard shoulder massage and the chest massage that I used for my back instead.
They also have an acupuncture -like massage that prickles a bit, I'm afraid that I will lost my huge pimple on the cheek.

Me: uy tignan mo nga if anjan pa yung pimple ko
Mike: anjan pa malusog pa!

Then we went to the lap pool which is only 4.3ft deep and the water is slightly cold.

We then realized that there are herbal pool, steam and sauna near the hydrotherapy massages.
I excitedly went to the sauna room, my first time.
It was hard to breathe inside so we only stayed for a few minutes.
Beside the sauna is the steam room. And as I expected, it is much difficult to breathe in there than the sauna so I quickly went out lol.

We also dipped in their hot herbal pools - lavender and mint.
I love the calming hot of lavender pool at 40C than the mint pool with 36C.

We went back again to the hydrotherapy massages and lastly to the lap pool.

Back to the shower area, a bottle of soap is provided in each cubicle. I forgot that there is a separate dressing cubicle so I carefully dressed at the shower cubicle :/
I've seen some white sando bags that you can get for your wet things.
What I like most is that they provide hair dryer :)

I think our metrodeal voucher is sulit at Php349 instead of Php550 :)

I'm thinking if we should get a VIP card hmmm..

Foot for the Gods

Last Friday, we tried Foot for the Gods at 5/F Megamall using our voucher from Ensogo :)

, I thought I can read a book but it was dark inside :/

I was wearing skinny pants so they asked if I wanted to wear a short because they will massage you up to your knees. I was given a white short and changed in their small CR.

They first cleaned our feet with hot towel and left it wrapped for some time.
It was followed by their foot reflexology and then hand, shoulders and head massage.
Lastly, a back massage. I was lucky to have a good masseuse named Fe.
She has a heavy hand which I prefer and she was able to put pressure on the parts that needed most.

I put my gadgets away and did nothing but felt the massage. Very relaxing \^_^/

Reflexology is a spa treatment where the therapist works on "reflex points" on your feet, hands, and head (especially ears). The theory behind reflexology is that these reflex points relate to specific organs and glands in the body, and stimulating those points with finger pressure promotes health in those organs and glands via the body's energetic pathways. - Foot for the Gods FB Page

Weekend: Massage, MaDeCa, TooCute

Saturday, we started the day with a 75 min. soothing massage at Mont Albo Spa, Ortigas branch. M purchased a deal at metrodeal for the two of us :)   It was a 60 minutes Whole Body Swedish and 15-minute Eastern Foot massage.

While M make it a habit to have a monthly massage, I prefer having a massage at the comfort of our house and just ask my aunt, so I can ask her where to focus. Her 1hour back massage is still bitin for me! So imagine how I wish that mont albo massage focus only on my back. But then, I would say that their therapist is good and skillful, I requested for a hard massage and she was able to find the lamig on my everyday-aching-back and focus more on that. :))))

"Sir ano pong pressure? moderate/hard?"
"him: moderate"

"Ma'am ano pong pressure?moderate/hard?"
"Me: hard" :))

Then for lunch, we headed to Podium and tried MaDeCa, a mexican and pinoy fusion.
I love their chips and the tomato salsa goes very well with it and with the chicken in soft tacos which was very tasty too but difficult to eat because the sauce tends to drip. If only the beef in salpicao burritto is soft then we'll keep coming back for it. Maybe we can try their fish burrito next time.

At night, we watched some episodes of Animal Planet: TooCute about puppies and kitties :)

The next day was spent in Laguna :) Julia's litter now at 4 weeks old. These 3 puppies are extremely cute, fluffy and so adorable!
Too Cute!
