Ramen Nagi

Hello December! Cold weather calls for hearty warm soup :)
and just in case you are planning to shop and dine in podium, I'm sharing our Ramen Nagi experience ;p

Simple japanese interior

Our order amazingly came fast :)

M ordered the Butao King, pork broth ramen and just checked Chef's recommendation on the order checklist.
I tasted the soup and it was very comforting, something you would want if you're not feeling well.
The Chef's recommendation has level 1 spiciness and I think it was already very spicy :/ how much the higher levels?

Butao King@ Php390

Ever since I saw their huge menu poster in Podium before their opening, I already set up my mind to order the Green King hehehe. It has basil so it tastes like you're eating pesto pasta with a soup.

Green King Php410

We were so hungry that time so I ate  all the noodles but I was not able to sip all the soup.
They have no takeout policy for the ramen.
From the two, I think I like M's order hehehe. My green king has that "sawa/umay" factor kasi :/

JuJu Eats at Podium

Finally there's a branch in Ortigas :)

We arrived during the peak of lunchtime so there was a long queue.

Behind the glass counter, you can see how they prepare your order.
You can choose from their own creation of salads or you can also come up with your own.

I ordered Ceasar Salad wrap for M and Summer salad wrap for me.

The summer salad wrap is yummy sweet and very refreshing. All the ingredients tasted good together.
It consists of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, basil, corn, red onion, raisins, french beans, grilled asparagus and mango pineapple dressing.

The Chicken ceasar salad wrap: romaine, grilled chicken, parmesan, bacon, herb croutons, caesar dressing. This is also good, crunchy and creamy.

I went back here for lunch with a friend.
I ordered their summer salad again but not the wrap.
This is really good I should try making this at home.

I ordered Korean Kimchi wrap for me, spicyness!
(Korean bean sprouts, kimchi, tofu. carrots, cucumber, vermicelli, shiitake mushroom and korean dressing)

And my friend had the Pesto Pasta wrap:
fusilli pasta, cherry tomato, corn, basil, french beans, parmesan, black olives, pesto dressing

What I love: Reasonable prices (starts from P180 and above) plus it helps us include some greens in our food without making it look boring or giving you a feeling of punishing yourself with a diet.

We'll visit again for sure :))

Fridate: Izumi Curry, Guardians of the Galaxy

 Happy Friday!

We went to Podium to watch Guardians of the Galaxy :)
I was not very excited to watch this because the trailer was very lame.
We just feel obliged because it's a "Marvel" film. I was then surprised when M told me that it has good reviews.

And yes, we enjoyed it very much! It was funny, witty and best of all -wholesome! There were also bits of emotional scene or is it just me who cried lolz
In short, pampawala siya ng stress :)
And also, we keep on playing the soundtrack ;p

We used our ePlus card, we need to reload it soon because there are lots of movies to watch for this month :)

Before that, we dined again at Izumi Curry.
M was not in the mood for spicy food so he just ordered the Chicken tonkatsu.
I am feeling sleepy that time and I thought eating a lot of rice will make me feel more tired so I just ordered salad and then we shared an order of Gyoza.

simple and good :)

Izumi Curry at Podium

I heard this from a colleague and she had good reviews for this resto. It's a bit pricey but the servings are huge, she said I might not be able to finish one plate.
When I chanced it at Ensogo, we bought 2 discount vouchers  yey \(^_^)/

I got the Chicken Katsu Curry

...and  Mega Beef Steak for M

Itadakimasu!

My Chicken katsu Curry (P290) was crispy and juicy at the same time and was perfect when combined with the thick and a little bit spicy curry. *drools*

I also got to taste  M's order but I like my chicken katsu than his beef steak (P320). The beef patty with a cheese sauce was very thick that M's having a hard time finishing it. (may umay factor)

Their rice serving was also generous and packed, and because the curry had a kick of spice I can't help myself to eat more rice lolz, I thought I will not be able to eat until lunch the next day. ;p

They have other food offerings other than curries. We still have one voucher and we might order again a curry dish :)

Weekend: Massage, MaDeCa, TooCute

Saturday, we started the day with a 75 min. soothing massage at Mont Albo Spa, Ortigas branch. M purchased a deal at metrodeal for the two of us :)   It was a 60 minutes Whole Body Swedish and 15-minute Eastern Foot massage.

While M make it a habit to have a monthly massage, I prefer having a massage at the comfort of our house and just ask my aunt, so I can ask her where to focus. Her 1hour back massage is still bitin for me! So imagine how I wish that mont albo massage focus only on my back. But then, I would say that their therapist is good and skillful, I requested for a hard massage and she was able to find the lamig on my everyday-aching-back and focus more on that. :))))

"Sir ano pong pressure? moderate/hard?"
"him: moderate"

"Ma'am ano pong pressure?moderate/hard?"
"Me: hard" :))

Then for lunch, we headed to Podium and tried MaDeCa, a mexican and pinoy fusion.
I love their chips and the tomato salsa goes very well with it and with the chicken in soft tacos which was very tasty too but difficult to eat because the sauce tends to drip. If only the beef in salpicao burritto is soft then we'll keep coming back for it. Maybe we can try their fish burrito next time.

At night, we watched some episodes of Animal Planet: TooCute about puppies and kitties :)

The next day was spent in Laguna :) Julia's litter now at 4 weeks old. These 3 puppies are extremely cute, fluffy and so adorable!

Escape Plan, Brasas, Sebastians

I had a tiring, busy but productive week. The last quarter of the year will always be the busiest. Must recharge during weekends (starting Friday) ;p

We dined again at Brasas Podium, ordered Beef Wrap (P290) and Patacones (P160).  Both were very tasty but I think I'll stick to their Salads where the grilled meat are more flavorful and the serving is generous.

Patacones - crispy plantain chips topped with pulled pork, tomato salsa and cheese.

While we still have time we tried another ice cream flavor at Sebastian's. We tried their Sapin-Sapin.
It has some bits of those biko toppings. (forgot what they called). It tasted like eating your childhood dirty ice cream with all flavors mixed.

And then we headed to cinema. My favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger weee! partnered with Stallone and we have a brilliant prison break movie.

Action fans rejoice!

Super like the movie! I love that the story is a combination of thriller, action, may kurot sa puso, plus a sense of humor. It still has a feel of their old action films especially when they show off the skills they are known for. I will never get tired of Arnie going to the choppa with a big gun!

I can't wait to see them again in Expendables 3.

Hope y'all recharge this weekend ;)

Brasas Podium

The first time I ate here (lunch treat) I've tried their Chicken Salad(P190) with Lime Cilantro dressing and Chicken Wrap (Php250). I love that tangy dressing! It goes very well with lettuce, cabbage, carrots and tomatoes.

The charcoal grilled chicken in salad and wrap were so flavorful :)

We went back last Friday, long queue because it was lunch time. Luckily we still managed to get a table :)

This time Beef Salad (P230) with Lime Cilantro dressing. It was so good! Juicy, tender and very tasty beef!

And Chicken wrap again, bec I wanted M to taste it. Maybe because the beef was very tasty, I can't taste the chicken wrap or maybe I poured a lot of their yummy chipotle. ;p

Cheese or Chipotle sauce can be added in your wrap. But I think Chipotle alone is already good :)

Small dining space inside but there are larger tables outside

We will definitely go back here to taste their beef wrap :)

it will be more sulit  if spurs will win the finals :)

@Eastwood, Man of Steel
at first I thought only if zack snyder is not the director I will not watch this
but then it was so good and that actor is not very annoying in this movie
i love the heavy CGI and I dont care if they didn't focus on the love story :)
Overall, it was brilliant and di ako nabitin!

But before that, it took us almost an hour to get our tix!
We only had 10mins to buy our movie food at charlie's chicken which I have no time to take a photo

@ Borough to celebrate our colleague's bday
I had Grilled Portobello Mushroom, I find it very salty ><
but we all love their chips with onion dip :)

Last night with mike @Archipelago 7107, El Pueblo

Lunch at Yakimix

I had a manic week so far, deprived of sleep and exercise.
I hope to recuperate for the next days.

mike's yakimix treat yesterday was a great start for the weekend :)
Unlike our first time, (where we tried everything),  this time we only chose from grilled and japanese station

and salads too

grilled meat for mike

And then I loaded up on both fresh and grilled fish. It is seldom that I eat seafood in a restaurant, it is just recently I feel that I need some nutrients from fish like omega oils for a healthy brain function. I only had one hour sleep last Thursday. (oh my poor brain cells!)

For the dessert, I had  a few spoons of ice cream and half of mango mochi

while mike can't finish his desserts lolz

Yesterday's lunch fueled us to jog this morning for 30 minutes.
It was so good to get a sweat on after weeks of sedentary life :)

Have a great weekend!
