Wedding Details

I still remember how Joan, my coordinator, reacted when I told her how super simple I wanted my wedding to be. I didn't want to be stressed over some details like thinking it should be unique, should be impressive, memorable and bonggacious. But I did hope to inspire and remind everyone of simplicity and "true love" chos!

Back to details, Joan helped me in preparing these candles for the ceremony
I also requested her to make all the decor simple. I just wanted to make everything look handmade.

We DIY the props, printed the buntings and Joan helped in putting them all in places.

Our Intimate and DIY Wedding

I did not blog anything about our preparation. I thought I'll just write about it after the event.
I'm preoccupied with other things and it's hard to keep updating the blog every time I thought of wedding related things.
Another reason I wanted to keep it under the blanket is because I wanted a few guests.
We both feel uneasy to be the center of attention and we're both camera shy (it is so evident in the photos!) Another thing is that we originally planned to have a civil wedding but then officiant became unavailable few months before the big day.

We got married last May 1 at Sta Elena Fun Farm, Sta Rosa Laguna.
We only have an intimate gathering of relatives and few close friends.
We just wanted a simple, intimate, relaxed, nature and handmade-look wedding.

for the flowers

We DIY a lot of things. I made my own bouquet because I wanted a simple hand picked look.
My cousin made my flower crown.
My family helped in preparing the favors, decors, confetti, flower decors.
We don't have an entourage and had only a pair of ninong and ninang.
We did not hire an event stylist, the coordinator helped in setting up the decors for a small fee.
Actually the place is already beautiful and I just wanted to keep its natural look.

I realized that a wedding event whether big or small, requires the same details and effort.
When you ask me if I am to rewind everything, I would have choose to join a kasalang bayan wedding instead, or a civil wedding in the munisipyo ;p
But this surprise SDE photos from our photographer, The Perfect Grey is a proof that it is all worth our effort. ;)

Jeff and Monet's Wedding

Another wedding! It was a Christian wedding wherein the ceremony and reception was held at Paradiso De Oblifias in Lucban Quezon.
I noticed that they did all the elements or Filipino traditions in the wedding program,  it started at around 9:00AM and ended at 2PM.
My favorite part in the ceremony was when they released 2 boxes of butterflies in honor of their fathers with a teary speech from the bride, that for me was very very touching.

Rommel and Len's Wedding

My bff Len's wedding, we 've known each other since elementary :))))
We were at the reception at around 8am, I'm one of her bridesmaids and we needed to have our hair and makeup done early. I'm like seriously? 2PM pa ang kasal

I only ate 1 bread since 8AM , it was around 5PM when we were in the reception so I went for a take 2 ;p

This is one of the emotional weddings that we attended, the bride and her parents were crying at the church during her walk. At the reception, her father delivered a speech while crying too, and of course when someone is crying, my eyes cry on its own...

Best Wishes to the newly wed and congrats :)))

Beach Wedding at Kota Keluarga, Laiya Batangas

First Time - to be a bridesmaid and to go to the beach \^_^/

The venue is approximately 3 Hours drive from Manila, or less (if we didn't get lost somewhere in Lipa City...) After we turned right from San Juan municipal hall, we needed to stop to pay P20/Tourist.

Then Kota Keluarga is approx. 15KM or around 20 mins drive.  My bff Jen's wedding was held at Klub Keluarga which is approx 10mins away from Kota Keluarga's entrance because  3/4 of the way is a dirt road.

This view gives me goosebumps but at the same time I am excited, our swimming lesson gave me at least 25% confidence lolz

We stayed in the shade as it is extremely hot that noon.
The sand looks white pero brown siya in real life. I'm dreaming of having a house in this residential resort. :)

and a simple makeup by yours truly (reading my friend Jes (MakeupLove) blog helps a lot)

I'm so girlalooo that day, with flower crown effect

I'm so happy for my college bff Jen, we got all teary eyed with their vows (good thing I didn't put on a mascara)
lovely wedding!

During the wedding, nagsshooting pala ang Dyesebel dun sa paanan ng hill

Congrats to jen&alex!

Cabanatuan: Wedding, Cakeland

Last Friday, we drove to the far away land of Cabanatuan to attend a wedding.

It took us 4 hours as we passed by Baliuag which was our first time as we usually take the SCTEX road.
It was a relief seeing these welcome arcs, knowing we're on the right track.

It was only on our way back that we discovered the Plaridel Bypass Road that avoids the busy town proper of Plaridel and Pulilan (next time!).

Wedding Highlights

It was a black and white themed civil wedding

Human Nature Perfect Coverage Mineral Foundation

I'm back with another Human Nature product review :)

I attended a lovely wedding last Saturday at Oasis Manila. I used the Human Nature 100% Natural Perfect Coverage Mineral Foundation I ordered  last month.

PS: Now I'm really shy to share my photo hehe, just check out the wonder of mineral foundation on my face, don't mind the  eyebags and the unruly brows
I don't have good quality photos, just these, straight from my phone... no editing

 one more time, yung nagsuklay

Face: Human Nature Mineral Foundation in Honey,
Human Nature Mineral Pressed Powder in Island Shell,
 Ellana Mineral Concealer

Lips: Human Nature Lipstick in Pink Skies
Eyes: Tony Moly Eyeliner

I am sooooo happy with Human Nature foundation! \^_^/
I superrr recommend this product (price, blend, coverage and finish = all check :))
It is not cakey and does not feel heavy; it is also silky that it glides on the skin and helps conceal blemishes alone.
I am also wowed that I didn't need to retouch from 1PM to 9PM, Imagine! with my combination type of skin plus the hot weather.

Original(Php395) , Refill(Php295)
