Casa Verde @ Megamall

Celebrated our friend's birthday @ Casa Verde Megamall :)

Huge servings for affordable price (about 200+ per dishes). For a group of 4, (3 of which are heavy eaters ;p), I would say sulit naman na.

Warm and woody interior

Chicken fillet plate
I'm the only one in the group who ate the veggie sidings

Mini Burgers and Fries
I ate the fries

Tried this fish too (soft and juicy)

I only ate the potato boats. They said the wings is too spicy.
That was mozarella sticks in the middle

They say the steak here is good (you can request for additional sauce), though I did not try it.
pero di ko pinalampas ang carrots and corn ;p

I was not able to keep track if they serve fast as we were all busy chatting for like 2 hours.
The place was packed during dinner time but we were there early so we got a good seat in the corner.
We were not able to finish everything so the celebrant had a take home  :)

Project Pie Megamall

We tried Project Pie for lunch with my younger bro.
Looks like he enjoyed customizing his pizza. While M was not feeling adventurous,  he just chose one from the menu.

It starts with the sauce, red or white, then the choices of toppings begin. From cheese to meat to veggies - all for P285

As for me, red base, no cheese, tomatoes, pineapple, bellpepper, chicken, basil, caramelised onion.

My bro's pizza, all the cheeses, bacon, pepperoni and bellpeper

and M's

Here's where M got adventurous - unlimited and you can refill any drinks :)

I'd like to go back and find the perfect combination of toppings ;p

Tenya at Megamall

Hello February

Sometimes I also get tired of eating my home-cooked meals haha
January was a very busy month for me so I tried cooking in batch "cook once, eat twice".
I'm glad M didn't complain anyway he doesn't have a choice ;p

So for a break, I told M I wanted to eat a good, delicious meal plus it's also our monthsary ;p
And our "san tayo kakain? kahit saan" dilemma brought us to Tenya.

Complimentary tea

I held with it both hands while drinking and thinking "must buy this kind of ceramic cup at home para feel na feel ang paginom ng tea ;p"

I ordered Yasai Tendon. Assorted vegetable tempura on a bowl of rice plus miso soup for Php255.

M ordered a Teishoku set - Classic Tempura (Php360)

"A Japanese classic set meal. served with Japanese rice, potato salad, miso soup, tempura sauce, radish, ginger and pickles."

As much as I wanted to eat with chopstick to complete the feel, I'm so hungry so spoon and fork please...

Itadakimasu!

hmmm hot miso soup, good quality japanese rice, tempura dipped in the sauce with ginger
yummy, filling dinner

I'm getting older... I'm started to get fascinated with the ceramic bowls O_o

Tenya is located in the 4F of Megamall, give it a try and ask for more tempura sauce :)

The Halal Guys

With the sale going on and holiday rush, traffic was really terrible. By the time we arrived in Mega we were already hungy :/

I wanted to try Halal Guys to taste their falafel.
I have learned and cook my own version before which I post here

M ordered regular Combo (Gyro and Chicken) on rice.

I ordered Falafel small size. The small size serving is already plenty and very filling for me.
It has 3 balls of falafel, tomatoes, lettuce, bread and rice.
I was able to eat only 1.5 of the falafel and was not able to finish my rice and bread.
The falafel which is made of beans was a bit dry so I should've order extra white sauce.

Long lines during peak hours but the line moves fast.
By the time you are in the counter, your order is ready.

Movie and Eats: Fast 7 and Burgers

One last ride :))

Last Easter Sunday, we went to Galleria to watch Fast and Furious which seems like I've watched a Mission Impossible movie, Kulang na lang si Tom Cruise.
Jason Statham was a very good villain, good thing they include him here :))
I went a bit emotional too, when they did a flashback of the previous films, good old memories when all of them still look young.

Fast forward just last this weekend:
Saturday brekkie, M's request: Burger King breakfast (our first time to try)

He ordered the spam and egg meal while I went for the mushroom and egg burger,  + hasbrown :)

For dinner, we dined again at Triple Os :))

We ordered again their yummy chicken supreme.
I really wanted to replicate this at home. ;p

and their Crispy Fish burger
(2 pcs crispy fish, lettuce, tartar sauce)

We just noticed that the burger sauces were few and no extra dipping sauce for the fries. :/

And then Sunday was just spent at home as I don't feel well. We watched Daredevil series on Netflix and also Ancient Aliens which is a very interesting documentation theories on  how our ancestors built some architecture(pyramids of Egypt) without advanced tools. I can't help but thought that maybe we do really have a void history hehehe,
I drank a mug of boiled water with ginger and garlic,  rested well and after a day I'm well again :)

House of Lasagna and my homecooked pasta

We just stayed at home for the weekend and here's our merienda.

Saturday: Pasta with basil, mint leaves and garlic bits

Sunday: Spinach and spanish sardines pasta :)

We ate a lot that we were both sleepy afterwards. Too much carbs hehehe

The next day, we were at megamall and before doing our grocery, we had our brunch in
House of Lasagna

We were told to wait for 15 mins and they first served us with a complimentary basket of garlic bread.
Wow ang dami
Then our order came, sizzling hot. Pesto lasagna for me.
I requested not to add the cheese topping so it tasted a bit bland.

Classic simple pesto made with fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, crushed garlic and extra virgin oilive oil

Beef Lasagna for M
100% ground beef and bechamel sauce

Both dishes costs P280 and were very filling that we were not able to finished it.
The generous servings of their garlic bread also added factor to our kabusugan
(We didn't know it was unlimited). We can't help but dip the bread in the lasagna sauce.

Pasta overload :))))

Movie and Eats: Kingsman, Teppanyaki Brothers

Kingsman: The Secret Service

Very entertaining, classic and brilliant spy movie :)))
We super love it but of course it was not perfect. The soundtrack were not very good, poor choices of songs that it made some scenes less cool. Towards the end, there were some annoying scenes that it made the movie look cheap.  I wish they made it wholesome all throughout.
But all of those are forgivable when you think again of how the story started well and how cool Colin Firth was :)))) Must watch!

Teppanyaki Brothers

When we were in Megamall, we dined in Teppanyaki Brothers for lunch.
It is located in the food court and they have an open kitchen.

We tried their Chicken Teriyaki and Pork Teriyaki.
For just Php99 , it comes with a miso soup too :))))

Happy Weekend!

Eri Curry Megamall

We can't decide where to eat so we strolled in megamall atrium to check out what restos we haven't been to. We haven't noticed before that Eri Curry is in the area, I read some blogs about it before.
I thought it was in the new fashion hall.

They are playing anime songs on the background. We were guessing the titles while waiting for our orders, we missed one familiar title, we kept trying to remember it til we got home.

very japanese atmosphere :)

M ordered their Pork Katsu curry (crunchy, tasty and juicy)

and Veggie Curry for me :)
(potato, carrots, beans and onions)

I love curries :) Even the ready sauce that you can buy at the asian aisle grocery stores.
So I am very easy to please when it comes to this particular dish :)

The curry here is good, thick sauce, moderately spicy and my veggies were a bit crunchy.
It's been a while since we ate a good curry :)

I just thought that Eri Curry rice serving is very few. You can choose in 3 sizes: small, regular and large. The regular size that we ordered looks like half a cu p only.
But still their prices are reasonable. Katsu Curry cost P320, vegetable curry at P180  :)

Keep Calm and Curry On! ;p

Triple O's Megamall

Late Saturday afternoon we were at Megamall, finally found a chance to used our voucher at
 Triple O's :)
I regret not buying a lot because their burgers are quite pricey.
But with the huge size, I think it's ok pa rin.

I tried their Chicken Supreme Burger - yummy!
Chicken Supreme

Up close

Juicy grilled chicken, crispy lettuce, tomatoes and mustard like sauce but sweet and salty

We shared these large cut fries

M had Original burger with Cheese but he liked my chicken supreme burger than his order.
The huge patty was surprisingly bland.

A bit messy to eat but that's the fun in eating burgers ;p

I would love to go back for their yummy chicken burger!

Mr. Kimbob

We both ordered Bibimbap: Beef (Large Php119) for M and Chicken (Regular Php99) for me.
Our orders were served in sizzling hot plates with a paper on the side, mala Pepper Lunch.

Lots of veggie sidings - Kimchi, Togue, Carrots etc. For the taste hmmmm, the chicken tastes like minced pork tocino. I wondered if it was really a chicken or they made a mistake.

On the other hand, M's beef bibimbap is a winner, it was very flavorful.

Mixed bibimbap :)

We're curious about the Korean Dumplings. It was served with sweet and sour sauce and tastes like fishball.

I would love to go back and try their Jap Chae :)

Mr. Kimbob is located at Megamall FoodCourt.
