Friggies Juice

We've tried Friggies a few weeks ago. No I'm not on juice diet or detox. I just consider fruits/veggies juice as an essential daily drink. But lately, I got lazy hehe and I got tired of my usual juice recipe plus my friend with this business already transferred. I think I need again some inspiration. I remember Friggies, as always I am on a lookout for a local brand and social enterprise to support and they're also a Gawad Kalinga partner.

Smoogies has banana saba, raw cacao and coconut milk = very new taste for me and my favorite from the set :)

Each bottle comes with info label tied in a native twine

All juices were very refreshing and tasted good. 

I did not follow their recommended time intake M and I just drink 1 bottle each (or sometimes we share) a day for about 3 days.

Their bottle is very easy to clean and reuse because of its wide openings.

I am reusing them now for my homemade juice ;p

It's good once in a while to break from usual recipe and get inspiration from others. :)

Teds at Sta Cruz Laguna

It was the same month last year when we first visited this place which I also blogged here.

We're back this time to celebrate MIL's 68th birthday :)

We were at around 11am so the service was really fast.

Ted's platter ( I only tried the fries and chicken) but M said the steak were ok and good.

Laguna Pesto Pasta with nuts and tinapa or tuyo? They have ongoing BPI promo, this dish is free for P1500 single receipt :)

Dessert :) It was M and his bro who ordered everything including the dessert, if they only ask me I would like to add dalanghita bars ;p  This choco lava was very soft, moist chocolatey and hot (fresh from the oven?)  

I bought one cassavarap sour onion flavor (green) @Php60 

(thin and crispy cassava chips)

Would love to go back for all their desserts and try their Bed and Breakfast :)

Chill's Cloth Pad

A few months ago, March, if I remember, my friend and I decided to try cloth pad.

 We've read a lot of benefits of using cloth pads and also it is environment-friendly. 

We searched online and discovered Chill. The price is reasonable so immediately placed our order. We got cloth pads for heavy flow, regular flow and pantyliners.

I also bought Human Nature's detergent powder so  I can wash it carefully.

At first, I only use it as a pantyliner. I thought it will be hassle to wash it with stains. So I still use napkins (Jeunesse during the day and Whisper Heavy flow at night). 

 I started using Chill's clothpads during my period when I was just at home and I was surprised that I don't feel pain/ dysmenorrhea. I always feel painful period during the first and second day so I tried using clothpads only on those days then back to Jeunesse during regular flow.

I felt the difference so I decided to order again.:)

Benefits of using Chill

I don't mind changing 4x during the day if I will have a bearable period. Human Nature detergent also makes it easy to wash it, just soaked for hours and the stains will be easy to remove. :)

Baby IJ's Christening at Max

This is my first time to become a "Ninang" :)

Time flies as my nephew is almost 7 mos, a heavy little man.

We celebrated it in Max LB Centro Mall (may ganun na pala sa elbi) and the event was attended by just a few close relatives and friends. The short dedication ceremony was  held in the same place where I just observed that there were a lot of singing. (first time to attend a Christian dedication)

Later in the afternoon we went to Lucban. We visited Kamay ni Hesus, which has a lot of changes for the tourist like those huge letters where a lot of visitors were taking their photos and a canteen area. We scanned the stores of pasalubong and we bought 3 packs of Pancit Lucban 3 for P100 :)

Then we went to Buddys for dinner.

Furry Love: Soleus Run for the Aspins

Another furry love post eh?

Well, we registered for the Dog Race 2K  :)

Despite the weather (typhoon Lando), Soleus announced yesterday that it will push through.

We were a bit hesitant to go and thought it's ok even if we don't run, it serves as our donation.

But we thought it would still be nice to pop there for a while.

 Snowbell always love the car ride and stroll.

The assembly time was 6:30AM for our category. We were up by 4:30 and was there at 6AM.

The Foot Race already started. It was raining and a bit windy. Several dogs and their owners are already there. Snowbell met again some PART furkids. Booths were setup but then eventually they cancelled the dog race.  So we just availed our freebies and checked out the booths. 

Barkin' Bakes offered free liver muffins.
 Snowbell liked it, we just need to hand-fed her in small sizes. 

I also bought a pack of their Beefy Gnoshers at Php138.

Soleus announced in their FB page that the event will be rescheduled. 

I'm a bit worried, I hope they will still be able to generate funds for their beneficiary - Phil Animal Rescue Team. Maybe they should accept more participants in the new schedule and I hope we still be able to join. Please join if Soleus Run for Aspins will open again the registration.

Furry Love: Pet Blessing, TeeTalk

The annual Pet fiesta in our neighborhood to celebrate the feast of St Francis of Assissi :))
