Btw, there are two Bonchon stores in Megamall, the crowded one inside Bldg A G/F and the other in MegaStrip which has a bigger space and few customers.

My first time to try their calamari , soft and crunchy with spicy dip sauce :)

Short Trip to Gourmet Farm

Continuing our Tagaytay trip post...

 As we ventured to Emilio Aguinaldo Hi-way,  a few minutes away (5 mins if I remember) from Rotonda is the Gourmet Farm.  We did not stroll around the area as it was extremely hot that noon. We just stayed at the store/cafe and checked out all their products. 

Their popular Lettuce chips is very affordable at Php60 and Pesto Chips at Php70. 

The Lettuce chips is kinda bland for me, so it is best eaten with dips. 

I like their Pesto Chips instead, tastes just right even without dips. :)

Refreshing Juice at Php50

It would be nice to wander around the area, join the farm tour and activities, experience their buffet 

and visit the chapel  (next time!).  

Meanwhile, I saw a very helpful map in their FB, illustrating where are the churches that are worth visiting while in Tagaytay. So next time, hopefully the soonest, we'll include a visit to a church whenever we're in the area (as inspired also by Ms. January in her many Tagaytay blog posts)    :)

Tagaytay Palm Sunday

Another week long post. April is almost here and I have few blog post for March. 

I was a girl on fire for the past few weeks, busy and getting lost of the time and even date. Whew! 

We visited Tagaytay last Palm Sunday (after a failed visit to my dentist) 

We came from Calamba and took Eton City exit and it only took us less 30 mins.

We headed first to Picnic Grove. Arg that Taal Lake is still scary as ever.

You know that feeling when you're on the high floor and you want to jump, yeah that feeling...goosebumps

But still it is a fantastic scenery :)

After wandering around, we drove to Rowena's to have our brunch in their cafe located at the back of their 'pasalubong' store.

I had Bangus breakfast and longganisa for mike. It comes with a cup of brewed coffee at Php189 ea if I remember. The fish was so soft and there were lots of crunchy garlic yum. I was really stuffed afterwards.

 it was our first time to try these goodies, tastes like soft Dewberry cookies?
I think I like eating them frozen.
I've tried their assorted box of tarts before and my fave product from them is their buko tart.
Maybe I'll just stick to that next time.

Malunggay Chips

The Tofu Chips tastes a bit sweet and bland. I don't know how it is processed but it tastes like those air-dried chips. The malunggay chips on the other hand has a strong flavor of malunggay and a tolerable saltiness.

Afterwards, we visited "Ina ng Laging Saklolo Church", a small red bricked church along Calamba Rd. Because it was Palm Sunday, there were plenty of "Palaspas" vendor outside

We also drove to Rotonda and checked out the other places we can visit next time, until we passed by Bag of Beans and the signage going to Puzzle Mansion. (next time!)
Then went back to Rotonda to check out Emilio Aguinaldo Hi-way and stopped by The Gourmet Farm that I'll be blogging about next. :)

Considering it is so fast to go to Tagaytay now,
we should make it a point to visit every time we'll go to Calamba:)

Enchanted Farm Cafe

I finally visited the new Human Heart Nature store in commonwealth when I replenished my stocks.

They have new products! Dishwashing Liquid , Detergent liquid and for our furry friend - All Natural Dog Shampoo- brilliant!

Located at the second floor of the same building is the Enchanted Farm Cafe. 

They serve foods that are naturally grown produce from GK Enchanted Farms.  Check out their menu here

Products from their partner social enterprises are also available.

We're not yet hungry that time so I just bought Sabanoffee Pie. Yep they used "saba" :)

  I also bought their "Golden Eggs" (salted duck eggs) and served it one morning with tomatoes and lettuce.

 It is not very salty compared to the "red" salted egg we've grown to know.   It is not very obvious in the photo above but is yellow/gold in color because of turmeric.

Cabanatuan: Wedding, Cakeland

Last Friday, we drove to the far away land of Cabanatuan to attend a wedding. 

It took us 4 hours as we passed by Baliuag which was our first time as we usually take the SCTEX road. 

It was a relief seeing these welcome arcs, knowing we're on the right track.

It was only on our way back that we discovered the Plaridel Bypass Road that avoids the busy town proper of Plaridel and Pulilan (next time!).

8pcs servings for their Dimsums. The spicy wonton has tolerable spiciness.

My cha chang noodles came late.. It's a wheat noodles, topped with mung bean sprouts, cucumber, tofu. 

It was good, not too salty and the cucumber added some crunch. ;) This is one of their bestsellers.

We noticed that their sauces are a kinda sweet. Is that taiwan's style? The dumpling sauce is like the one used for xiao long bao, the wonton's spicy sauce is a bit sweet too and even the chachang noodles.
We still prefer toyomansi for dimsums. But it's nice to try a different taste sometimes ;p

I already wore this dress in a wedding that I blogged here (uniform eh?) I just added a gray glittered shawl this time that I bought the night before.

Bridal Sparty at Pink Me Up

Last week, we surprised our colleague with a sparty for her bridal shower. 

I suggested Pink Me Up as there are lots of great blog reviews I've read and 

it looks pretty in blog photos too.

 The place is indeed pretty and soo girlaloo! It is not that big and can accomodate only up to 10-12?  The nice thing here also is that you can borrow some of party items like plates and utensils.

They ordered Pesto Pasta from Aveneto = it was really great! yum2x!

The chicken wings were from Sunrise Buckets -  the bride's fave

mini cupcakes from Bella Cupcakes Manila, and oh so wow, I ate a lot of cupcakes that night! 

I love their red velvet!

I have no idea of the group's plan actually, for  food, desserts, decorations, games, souvenirs and everything. I was surprised how everything turned out well. They were very creative. The food spread was presented really nice, I would just like to look at it.  If only I had my phone with me (toinks! how did I forget it!!!)  

After we ate and played games, we had our hand spa, foot spa and mani, pedi. I think I was the only one who availed the complete package and one of us did not even finish her hand spa because we still have final activity for the bride. 

I opted for a silver/grayish polish :)

Overall, we all had a hilarious and wonderful night :)
