Balik Bukid at Sta Elena Fun Farm

As I said in my previous post, I wanted to share a few more photos of our day at Sta. Elena fun farm.

We were there as early as 9:30 AM :)

I think it was my first time to see ducklings paddling their little feet underwater. how cute.

There are ducks, rabbits and chickens on the loose.

cutie rabbits!
we  also saw some pigs, horses, hamsters and even snake

The maintenance staffs were wearing filipiniana and katipuneros outfit.

There are more to see out there but we easily get tired so we rested for a bit after we checked all the stalls for n times and bought mango shake.

I discovered a lot of brilliant eco-friendly and healthy products.

I tasted the "Going Bananas" from SundreamPH today and it was chewy but very filling.

Interesting solid perfume from Aromateria at P250. I wanted to buy the one with 'Sherlock' print on it, only that the scent is too strong for me.

Eco-Friendly Gifts

I'm supposed to share this before Christmas :/ but then if you like to give eco-friendly gifts, not only for holidays, hope this helps. ^_^

I bought some of my Christmas gifts from Human Nature and Gkonomics

via

HumanNature also sell wrappers thus making it hassle free to give goodness gifts. :)

I did a bit of craft for my Gkonomics gifts , I wrapped them in a brown bag wrapper (reused from grocery bags) and added HeyKessy washi tapes I won from Etallasa.

eco friendly ang peg!

I forgot to take a photo before I wrapped the silver wristlet, the photo above is the silver clutch. They are made from recycled doy packs (amazing!) and the quality is good!  Check out their products here

I hope to discover more eco-friendly and locally available products  from social enterprises and give them as gifts. By supporting these social enterprises, we help in sustaining a livelihood for their partner communities. :)

"When Human Nature was born in 2008, we envisioned it to flourish as one of
the country's leading social enterprises. This meant our primary goal would be to use business
to build a better Filipino society, especially for the poor, by operating a sustainable business that primarily benefited our country. We founded the company on three core principles;
to be Pro-Philippines, Pro-Poor and Pro-Environment." - from HumanNature website

"GKonomics is building a new generation of producers.

Our mission is to build a culture of productivity in GK communities by helping build social enterprises that will make the Philippines a country of world-class products and services that does not leave the poor behind." - from Gkonomics fb page

SM Trash to Cash

Finally! after a year? (almost) of storing plastic empty bottles and cardboard/cartons, mike and I brought it to SM Hypermarket Pasig for SM Trash to Cash

we earned Php36 hihi! that's for 3 kilos of plastic empty bottles and 2 kilos of cartons.
Actually, it even felt great knowing that they can be reuse/recycle in a sure way.
As y'all know we segregate our trash but I worry that they might get wet or mixed with biodegradable trash esp. the cardboard/carton as there are  naughty cats opening the trash cans in our place sometimes...

SM Trash to Cash
(happens every 1st friday and sat of the month 10am-2pm (actually not sure if 8am-2pm too))

Washboi Waterless Car Wash

NO WATER. JUST SPRAY-WIPE-BUFF!
This green innovation product will clean and polish your vehicle’s bodywork, glass and wheels without water.
With just “spray-wipe-buff” you’ll get a clean and shiny car. But it doesn’t only do the carwash; it also takes care of our environment.

We saw their booth at Shopwise Libis, got curious and searched the net when we got home.

I bought bf first set at EchoStore, Podium.
The car wash costs 395 pesos while the glass cleaner and tire cleaner are 295 pesos each.

Read more of Mike's review (oh he has a blog O_O)

Available at Echo Stores (Podium, Serendra)
