Trip to Salcedo Market

This stall sells healthy stuff and some Ilog Maria products.

I bought one Propolis Tooth Powder (Php250)
I'm on the hunt for local all natural toothpaste, the one we're using from Healthy Options cost Php225 but last only in less than a month.

This huge tooth powder container might last for more than a month, hmmm...

Spotted milea bee farm products

We bought some organic veggies (expensive :/)

and 1/4 kilo of Tinapa at P60

Cute find, I wish I bought those heart shaped plates

We bought foods that we can hold while walking:

I had 2 pcs of vegetarian samosa

M had chicken shawarma

We shared one fresh buko for our drink (Php45)

and 2 Japanese pancakes for takeout :)
(Php20 any flavor, we got plain and chocolate)

It's been a while, our last trip here was two years ago pa, we hope to visit this place annually ;p
Afterwards, we passed by Muni Market at Capitol Commons before heading home.
Weekend market hopping :)

Lunch at Persia Grill

After the  Uncle Moe's Shawarma kebab experience, mike said he'll bring me to Persia Grill to taste the difference.

Compared to Uncle Moe's, this one is not very tasty and kinda dry.
Beef Kebab,Buttered rice, Eggplant yogurt Php120
I like that Eggplant side dish =D

Mike eats here always but surprisingly he didn't figured out that it was made from eggplant O_o

We also had Kebab wrap (below)

Our first time to taste Baklava. Hmmm taste like a bread with pineapple syrup.

Baklava for dessert P85 for 2 small pcs

Weekend Salcedo Market

We discovered it by chance on our way to Valero St. ;)
Very much like Banchetto, but you can also buy fresh produce here.
I bought 1 pineapple for P35 =D

Roamed around the place and got curious on samosa
We tried one, and its good! Much tastier than 'empanada'

Hana at Little Tokyo

After having ramen and Gyoza from Shinjuku, we went to Hana which is located inside Little Tokyo when you enter the arches. They starts cooking their Takoyaki at 5pm. I forgot the taste of Takoyaki in Japan. I remember that it was serve steaming hot during the Hanami so I only managed to have a small bite.

Takoyaki Php100 for 6pcs

We ordered melon flavored snowcones. Wee! So yummy!!! (^_^)

We enjoyed it outside Hana while watching the Japanese kids running around the place while someone is ordering them to stop, "Yameru! Yameru!" he yelled. Lots of Japanese are going in and out of the restaurants around so it really feels like we are in different place.

Some pics inside Little Tokyo:

Shinjuku at Little Tokyo Makati

I've done my research before going to Little Tokyo which is located in Pasong Tamo beside Makati Cinema Square.

Foodie bloggers has been talking about Shinjuku for best Ramen and Gyoza so thats our first stop.

We wandered around the place and nearby Japanese grocery stores before entering Shinjuku restaurant.
Little Tokyo is just a small place but feels like being in another place (stranger in my own country) since there are lot of Japanese people around.

Shinjuku:

While waiting for our orders, we get some manga books to view.

Here is what we ordered:
The Ramen is big and is good for two. - P375

Hmm... I was just wondering why their noodle is curled like instant noodles, I was expecting like the one I've tried in Japan. The toppings is good though - soya beans, spinach, nori, egg.
Same for Gyoza, big and filling. P95

I don't eat Gyoza often so I really can't say if its the best Gyoza around. But it indeed makes me go back again there for their Gyoza.

Next we headed for Hana which is famous for their Takoyaki and Kakigori!
