Easter Weekend and a new Recipe

Back home in Laguna means "home cooked meals!".
Because I went home only on weekend, I was able to taste only a spoonfuls of Ginataang Bilo2x ;(

For both Saturday and Sunday, we had grilled fish and veggies.

Red Rice

Beating the summer heat with halo halo while watching movies.

Pinoy breakfast :)

I had a sleepover on thurs and fri with a colleague and they served me a yummy Potato and Beets Salad.

Back home, I made my own version with boiled camote :)

Boiled Sweet Potato (Camote) Salad

Ingredients:  Boiled Kamote, Raw Carrots, Pineapple, Mayo, salt season accdg to your taste
Chop and mix everything. Refrigerate before serving :)

It is so tempting to buy ice cream with our extremely hot weather but i guess I will just chill myself eating sweet potato salad again

Homemade Vegan Burger Patty

i found this recipe online and bec the procedure is very much the same as falafel, I gave it a try .

Just put them all in blender, mixed with spices and fry.
Serve with tomatoes, lettuce and ketchup.

Hmmm... I prefer the falafel compare to this, or maybe I didn’t put enough cumin that the black beans taste is very strong.
I thought I can prepare  and experiment a variety of pita fillings. I cooked too much  falafel and this veggie bean patty so my two pack of pitas from Green Grocer were all consumed with it.

'til next healthy cooking time!

Easy Falafel Recipe

I thought I'd share this simple falafel recipe that I tried to cook.
A great way to add protein in your diet . I'll probably add this to my breakfast ideas.

Weekend: Mini Pizzas, Cornetto Disc

I made some effort and prepared super simple mini pizzas last weekend for snack  (for a change because we eat Pancit Canton every weekend hehe)

super simple ingredients : (onion and red bell pepper not in the photo)
I skipped the cheese and sprinkled Garlic powder and pepper instead

As usual we ate packs of our ever favorite Piattos =p , watched the admirable Sherlock (in between work) and One Piece (not so good episode hmp!) and we bought Cornetto disc (^_^) but I like their Hazelnut more.

I thought of the next series to watch when we finish Sherlock, any suggestion? Or should we go back to watching Naruto or Bleach...hmmm (stopped a long time ago because of fillers)

I got curious of BBC's Doctor Who and watched the episode 'The Impossible Astronaut", where mike and I find it good as everything with 'detective' theme is awesome. =) It's just that after one episode, you don't feel 'I want more' very badly...next episode can wait :)

And also, got a copy of Walking Dead (recent season?) wherein after the first 4 minutes, I thought I'm not yet ready to watch it LOLz, scaryyyy

Looking forward for the next weekend ^_^

Weekend: Banana Cake, Korean Food

Weee! I baked a really good Banana cake! ehem ehem but honestly I find the pre mix too sweet for my taste.
I know,  I know, it doesn't look appetizing (as if someone shot it lol)
I added the chocoballs 3 mins before I toasted it a bit (i love toasted sides and top =D)

Long weekend for me, work at home almost every friday (and weekends too). =D
So basically spent it at home except last Saturday when we need to go to Globe customer service (Megamall) because our tattoo myfi was not working for 2 days. And as suspected, the sim needs to be replaced =( but it's free of charge

Afterwards, grabbed these in the grocery to satisfy my korean food cravings. ^_^

I added eggs and leeks. In real life they are orange in color XD
Last time when we dine at Kogi Bulgogi, I discovered that kimchi gets along with hot noodles *drool*
Every sunday morning means 'One Piece' though nothing happened much in the episode today.
I am very much tempted to read the manga! grr!

Excited for Monday (Sherlock!!!) wee! though I heard there will be tears after Sherlock's episode finale XD

^_^
