Movies and Eats: Potts Point Cafe, Mad Max

Potts Point Cafe

Sunday afternoon eats in Eastwood Mall :)

Pasta for me. Yummy roasted eggplant, cherry tomatoes, goat cheese with creamy organic tomato sauce linguine P310

For him, organic roasted chicken in Quinoa Red Rice salad P355

Both dishes have very strong, wonderful flavor and were very tasty that I wanted to recreate them at home (nagfi-feeling)  Both with roasted ingredients so they have a hint of smoke and that distinctive juicy, grilled taste :)
The price as you know is very steep and the serving for that rice is few.
But we have a metrodeal voucher yasss! and also I wanted to try different take on healthy dishes and some food inspiration too so that's ok. :))))

I love the interior, somewhat homey feel, love the rustic shelves with knick knacks :)

Afterwards, we strolled around, it's been a while since we visited this place.
There are already new stores and restaurants that I wanted to try.

For our latest movie trip, we watched Mad Max: Fury Road
This movie was so intensed, fast- paced and has a lot of breath-taking scenes.
I recommended it to a friend, told him he should watch than Perfect Pitch and he too said it was breath-taking and awesome. And the best of all, wholesome ;p

Waiting for Arnold's Terminator for our next movie trip :))))

Labor Day Date: Swensens, Spidey Movie, Kebabers

We treated ourselves to Swensens ice cream at Eastwood Mall before watching the movie.
I ordered the chocolate hot fudge and green tea flavors while Coffee Mocha Almond for M.
I thought I can't finish 2 scoops of ice cream, it seems I can eat about 4-6 scoops ;p

Chocolate hot fudge

Green Tea

Just perfect for summer :)

Lookie meron din silang HaloHalo sundae!

Then amazing spidey movie time ;p

Well, what I can say is that it would be super amazing if without the torrid kisses :/
Every character performances were good and my fave would be Harry Osborn who really acts well as kontrabida. There were scenes that made me teary eyed and Spoiler : I'm quite happy that they let Gwen died here and didn't prolong the story. The way she died was also a very good scene and makes sense as compared to original story in the comics.

Afterwards, we had dinner at Kebabers at Eastwood Citywalk2, I had chicken shawarma and beef kebab for him. hmmm it taste like you're eating canned Maling lang :/

I remember that we're not able to wait until the end of credits as we hurried up to the comfort room na ;p
We just thought of searching it on youtube afterwards. But we stayed until the mid credit where they only showed the trailer of X-Men, which we are also looking forward to watch.
And oh the Maleficient trailer looks great, we might watch that too.
Lots of movies for this month!

Movie Review: Expendables 2

Last Thursday night mike flew me to Eastwood City haha, we were a bit worried that we cannot make it to the 11PM show, but we did! thanks to his superb driving skills lolz, we got our tix at around 10:40, bought our movie food from Mcdo (hello large fries!) and just in time for the trailers \^_^/

And oh before that clickthecity posted that Eastwood Mall has 11PM showing time but in EastwoodCity FB page and Twitter it was 10PM  that I had to text them to confirm, thank you EastwoodCity for a quick reply that it is 11PM indeed.

We've been waiting for this movie as Expendables 2 is a dream team! My fave action stars complete and of course my ultimate favorite of all, Arnold, is back!

I love how they include their characters/lines where they are known for, you can relate if you've watched their previous movies, I don't want to spoil, all I can say it is a full action (as in to the nth level),  morbid, comedy and has a bit of drama. I soooooo love this movie! Chuck Norris too, FTW! Plus Van Damme was a really scary, perfect villain

we went home laughing and I'm still having a hangover up to now that I searched for my old high school diary , haha yes i'm a fangirl !  (≧◡≦)

Too bad I lost my wallet where I have a newspaper cut out of Bruce Willis in his Armageddon suit. ;p  Oh Armageddon I remember I was sad for a week because of that!  I think I have watched their films in VHS that are available at the Video City near our house (Arnold, Bruce Willis, Van Damme and Stallone) ooh childhood memories

And oh my new fave Statham, just WOW,  his fighting scenes were suuuperrr cool esp in that outfit ala Assasin's Creed fight (ang peg)

I just love this movie that I can watch it over and over again!
Expendables 3 please!

Hope you are all having a happy and lovely weekend!
