VDay 2016

We started our Valentines day by watching a movie - Deadpool, such a silly and funny movie, it gave me headache literally. We left without waiting for the end of credits scene, we just watched it on youtube.  We strolled around Eastwood, ate pizza and fries in SnR and we claimed M's krispy kreme freebie from his Smart  plan which reminds me I have to check mine too.
The next day, Sunday, we went out to have our ePass changed to RFID for free in Petron Shaw then we went to Capitol Commons afterwards to use M's starbucks card ( a christmas present he received).

We decided we won't be spending a lot for this holiday and to add it to our donation for the several animal welfare groups in FB that I followed - PAWA, SaveAll, LBAAW, PART, AFK. I am moved by their efforts on solving the situations of our furry friends. We hoped that we have spread our love to them in our own small and simple way.

"Happy Valentines day to all!",  love  Snowbell

VDay 2015

We woke up early to have our vday brekkie at IHop Centuriy City Mall :)
IHop is open as early as 7am.

143 price :)

 Good morning!

Pancakes love!

We ordered their Breakfast Sampler, House Salad and Garlic rice.
 M obviously enjoyed this plate.
Breakfast Sampler plate: 2 Eggs, 2 Pork sausage, 2 Ham, 2 bacon, 2 hashbrown, 2 Pancakes

I started first with the house salad (healthy2han si ate)

I didn't use the salad dressing

Then I tried the different syrup on pancakes :)

The blueberry syrup is good but what I love the most is their butter pecan.

And of course I did a bit of tikim2x everything on his plate ;p
It took them a while to served our order and giving our bill.
We also took our time to finish our meal :)

It's already 10:30am when we started strolling inside the mall.
Few shoppers aylabit!

We shopped for a few items in Healthy Options.

And did our grocery in Rustans. I found a Probio chicken. Yey it's been a while since I cooked chicken adobo :)

In the afternoon, we drove to Cubao because M needed to purchase from Harbor Avenue (PC thingy)
On the way it was traffic, took a while to park and the malls we've been to: Farmers, Gateway and SM Cubao were all crowded to the maximum level! Valentines Day rush!
Valentines day pa niya naisipan bumili. Kalurkey!
Anyway it was still a nice view - many couples, friends and families spending time with each other during St. Valentines Day :)))

Happy hearts day! :)

Valentines Day: Seoul Garden, Robocop, BreadStory

I prepared breakfast for mike - toasted rye bread, rye pancakes, hotdogs and egg. The sugar cookies are from my niece's party giveaways, pangdisplay lang ;p

For the rye pancakes, I used rye flour, olive oil and coco sugar only. My first batch failed - I followed a recipe online complete with eggs and baking soda but it failed, they were bitter and not edible T_T So I just made my own recipe ;p
me: ok lang ba ung rye pancakes?
mike: ay pancake ba ito???
Later that night we were at Galleria, we dropped by first at Saizen to buy some stuffs. I found some Vday related items

 We chanced again BreadStory 's Buy1Take1 :)

We didn't check the movie sched, turned out only 1 cinema  is for Robocop and screening time was 10PM, it was  only 8PM  :/

We decided to dine at Seoul Garden Hotpot located at Galleria's 4th Level
(originally we just planned to have a takeout from BK or Mcdo while watching as we assumed there'll be early screening time)

Refillable Appetizers

We had a chicken hotpot with rice (Php278 + sc) which is already good for two. We were asked if we like a kimchi or ramen, I chose the latter. It has Enoki mushroom, veggies and very soft chicken meat.

Complimentary Wine
We still have time so we used my BDJ coupon at Coffee Bean, Buy 1 Take 1 Tea latte.
I ordered Green Tea and Morrocan Mint Tea, hmmm we love mint tea but this one didn't appeal to us

Matcha and morrocan mint

Then movie time. As usual, I love fighting/battle scenes of all sorts.
I also like the first person camera view (my fave scene), feels like a game. I don't  have any issues with violent scenes but I always prefer "wholesome" movies. So a little loveydovey scene here made me cringe. But overall, I find the movie awesome :D

Ramen Bar Eastwood

mike ordered Yakiniku Beef Rice Topping (P165)

and miso ramen  (P320) for me

"Miso infused tonkatsu ramen topped with
tamago, naruto, chasyu, butter and corn"

Surprisingly, I can't taste the miso ? the soup was kinda milky but flavorful and the toppings were generous.
A bowl of ramen is already good for 2 so I shared it with mike, he said he liked the soft pork toppings

I like the wooden interior

and kawaii wall display ^_^

We did not order drinks as I was so full to even drink a water. We went to nearby Tous Les Jours Bakery where we bought a vegetable croquette (taste like lumpiang shanghai :)) and mamon like bread then we bought our drinks from Happy Lemon and waited for the movie to start.
Ramen Bar is located at G/F Eastwood Mall

Po Suk Jung

Happy Valentines day!

Today is just a regular working day for us... will spend til 12MN in the office  (True Story)
Busy as a bee always so we both agreed to have our simple pre-valentines date last Sunday :)

It was drizzling a bit that Sunday afternoon,  after carefully checking out the map before we left, mike  still made a wrong turn on our way to Po Suk Jung ;p ,which is located in Oranbo Pasig, a street after Ynares Sports Center if coming from Shangrila.

We were surprised to see a  resto like this hidden in the busy city of Pasig.

The place is quiet large and has ample parking space

Mostly spicy appertizers, their kimchi is good :)

Must try Japchae! Mike and I both agreed that this is just yummy :) Serving is good for two
Greens to go with the Sam gyub sal (grilled pork belly) below

I also had fun taking his pics ;p

It was not yet dark when we left, we thought of passing by Pan de Manila for our snack later that day.We bought pandesal and tried their new "Bananamon" =D

Last night I received this from him :) , one of the chocolates I like  = Dark Toblerone (which I'm munching on while writing this)

And from my boss, Ms. Ellen :)

Again Happy Valentines Day!

I know there are folks out there who call this commercialized or overrated day.
These post in twitter I saw last weekend is a good read. (thanks for darlene for sharing) I like what is written there because that is also what I believe:

"We celebrate the harvest. We celebrate the spring. We celebrate birthdays and death-days and the beginning of the year and the end of the year. We celebrate our parents and labor and Presidents. What in the world is so terribly wrong with celebrating love? I know not all of us have partners, but it is a rare soul who is without love of any kind. What kind of shrunken, sour heart does it take to insist that everyone else stop delighting in ritual and love? "

Valentines Day At Enchanted Kingdom

After HS years, I was able to visit EK again! yipee!
It used to be our HS default field trip destination  :/

Our wizard money worth Php200 :)

Our first ride, the Dodgem(BumpCar), since we were already in the MidwayBoardwalk.

Then spent our wizard money for the hat. Php190 then just addded Php5 for the pen w/c cost Php15

From the Midwayboardwalk, we went to the Portabello for the 4D theater. It is a paid attraction worth P60, no more current slot for 5PM so we enlisted for the 6PM slot which will be finished by 6:15, just in time for the HugAPalooza.

While waiting, we rode the RollerCoaster.

Then tried the SRRX (Shake,Rattle and Roll Experience), another paid attraction worth P50.

Still have time, strolled for a while, watched the KartTrak

then spotted by She with his bf.

Just passing by the Space Shuttle, I wouldn't dare again to ride that. I remember my knees were shaking after I first rode that. (and the Condor, very scary!!! I didn't spotted it now)

At the 4D theater!
We watched Journey to the center of the Earth, we both enjoyed the film plus the effects :)

Then off to eat. He ordered chicken and ice cream cake for me - choco overload!!! Actually he already ate Hotdog while waiting in photobooth!! 'o'

Before going in to EK, I already ate half almond snickers and half regular snickers which he bought for me '_' huhu irresistable!
Chicken Php70
Choco Overload Ice Cream Cake Php95/slice is heaven.

Ice Cream Cakes Php1000 whole

Fireworks again (^_^)

Then we watched the Grand Prix at Rialto. Few first person scene =(

We did not ride the Wheel of Fate, the same with Anchor's Away,  I remember they made my stomach churn.

(^_^)
