Movie and Eats: Kingsman, Teppanyaki Brothers

Kingsman: The Secret Service

Very entertaining, classic and brilliant spy movie :)))
We super love it but of course it was not perfect. The soundtrack were not very good, poor choices of songs that it made some scenes less cool. Towards the end, there were some annoying scenes that it made the movie look cheap.  I wish they made it wholesome all throughout.
But all of those are forgivable when you think again of how the story started well and how cool Colin Firth was :)))) Must watch!

Teppanyaki Brothers

When we were in Megamall, we dined in Teppanyaki Brothers for lunch.
It is located in the food court and they have an open kitchen.

We tried their Chicken Teriyaki and Pork Teriyaki.
For just Php99 , it comes with a miso soup too :))))

Happy Weekend!

Fridate: Izumi Curry, Guardians of the Galaxy

 Happy Friday!

We went to Podium to watch Guardians of the Galaxy :)
I was not very excited to watch this because the trailer was very lame.
We just feel obliged because it's a "Marvel" film. I was then surprised when M told me that it has good reviews.

And yes, we enjoyed it very much! It was funny, witty and best of all -wholesome! There were also bits of emotional scene or is it just me who cried lolz
In short, pampawala siya ng stress :)
And also, we keep on playing the soundtrack ;p

We used our ePlus card, we need to reload it soon because there are lots of movies to watch for this month :)

Before that, we dined again at Izumi Curry.
M was not in the mood for spicy food so he just ordered the Chicken tonkatsu.
I am feeling sleepy that time and I thought eating a lot of rice will make me feel more tired so I just ordered salad and then we shared an order of Gyoza.

simple and good :)

Labor Day Date: Swensens, Spidey Movie, Kebabers

We treated ourselves to Swensens ice cream at Eastwood Mall before watching the movie.
I ordered the chocolate hot fudge and green tea flavors while Coffee Mocha Almond for M.
I thought I can't finish 2 scoops of ice cream, it seems I can eat about 4-6 scoops ;p

Chocolate hot fudge

Green Tea

Just perfect for summer :)

Lookie meron din silang HaloHalo sundae!

Then amazing spidey movie time ;p

Well, what I can say is that it would be super amazing if without the torrid kisses :/
Every character performances were good and my fave would be Harry Osborn who really acts well as kontrabida. There were scenes that made me teary eyed and Spoiler : I'm quite happy that they let Gwen died here and didn't prolong the story. The way she died was also a very good scene and makes sense as compared to original story in the comics.

Afterwards, we had dinner at Kebabers at Eastwood Citywalk2, I had chicken shawarma and beef kebab for him. hmmm it taste like you're eating canned Maling lang :/

I remember that we're not able to wait until the end of credits as we hurried up to the comfort room na ;p
We just thought of searching it on youtube afterwards. But we stayed until the mid credit where they only showed the trailer of X-Men, which we are also looking forward to watch.
And oh the Maleficient trailer looks great, we might watch that too.
Lots of movies for this month!

Valentines Day: Seoul Garden, Robocop, BreadStory

I prepared breakfast for mike - toasted rye bread, rye pancakes, hotdogs and egg. The sugar cookies are from my niece's party giveaways, pangdisplay lang ;p

For the rye pancakes, I used rye flour, olive oil and coco sugar only. My first batch failed - I followed a recipe online complete with eggs and baking soda but it failed, they were bitter and not edible T_T So I just made my own recipe ;p
me: ok lang ba ung rye pancakes?
mike: ay pancake ba ito???
Later that night we were at Galleria, we dropped by first at Saizen to buy some stuffs. I found some Vday related items

 We chanced again BreadStory 's Buy1Take1 :)

We didn't check the movie sched, turned out only 1 cinema  is for Robocop and screening time was 10PM, it was  only 8PM  :/

We decided to dine at Seoul Garden Hotpot located at Galleria's 4th Level
(originally we just planned to have a takeout from BK or Mcdo while watching as we assumed there'll be early screening time)

Refillable Appetizers

We had a chicken hotpot with rice (Php278 + sc) which is already good for two. We were asked if we like a kimchi or ramen, I chose the latter. It has Enoki mushroom, veggies and very soft chicken meat.

Complimentary Wine
We still have time so we used my BDJ coupon at Coffee Bean, Buy 1 Take 1 Tea latte.
I ordered Green Tea and Morrocan Mint Tea, hmmm we love mint tea but this one didn't appeal to us

Matcha and morrocan mint

Then movie time. As usual, I love fighting/battle scenes of all sorts.
I also like the first person camera view (my fave scene), feels like a game. I don't  have any issues with violent scenes but I always prefer "wholesome" movies. So a little loveydovey scene here made me cringe. But overall, I find the movie awesome :D

Escape Plan, Brasas, Sebastians

I had a tiring, busy but productive week. The last quarter of the year will always be the busiest. Must recharge during weekends (starting Friday) ;p

We dined again at Brasas Podium, ordered Beef Wrap (P290) and Patacones (P160).  Both were very tasty but I think I'll stick to their Salads where the grilled meat are more flavorful and the serving is generous.

Patacones - crispy plantain chips topped with pulled pork, tomato salsa and cheese.

While we still have time we tried another ice cream flavor at Sebastian's. We tried their Sapin-Sapin.
It has some bits of those biko toppings. (forgot what they called). It tasted like eating your childhood dirty ice cream with all flavors mixed.

And then we headed to cinema. My favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger weee! partnered with Stallone and we have a brilliant prison break movie.

Action fans rejoice!

Super like the movie! I love that the story is a combination of thriller, action, may kurot sa puso, plus a sense of humor. It still has a feel of their old action films especially when they show off the skills they are known for. I will never get tired of Arnie going to the choppa with a big gun!

I can't wait to see them again in Expendables 3.

Hope y'all recharge this weekend ;)

Wolverine, MochiSweets, Eat Well

The Wolverine movie has an interesting story, i love all the fight scenes esp the train scene and I also like the character of Yukio she is just soo astig :).

Rila Fukushima as Yukio  via

If not for some weird moments and that model-actress who played Mariko (she did not act very well and so plain and boring arrgh!!) this could have been a great movie. Anyway, it's good to see Hugh Jackman again. I like it when he has that wolverine beard, looking beastly and manly, not the clean, shaved one ;p

Saturday, we had a very long day. We went early for dentist appointment , passed by our house in Laguna, played with the puppies(I also made a video) and then to MOA to avail our Pet Express from SMACDeals (Php1K worth of Alpo Dogs for only P500) savings yey  :)

And then we tried Mochi Sweets (located near the Ice skating rink). We chose the Sakura flavor and Black Sesame. They both tastes good :)

After our grocery, we had our dinner at Eat Well Delicious Kitchen
We love the noodle soup(P225), very flavorful and filling that we had the Spareribs in hotpot (P250) for takeout. Their mint iced tea (P65) unfortunately was not very 'minty'.

Eat Well is located in South Wing G/F along the row near SM Hypermarket

SciFi Cafe, Pacific Rim

Last night we saw Pacific Rim movie at Robinsons Galleria.

AWESOME! It was brilliant, fun, exciting and action-packed. ;)
The trailer was impressive so this became one of our anticipated movie for this year.
aylabit!
\(^▽^)/

Before we watched the movie, we had our dinner at SciFi Cafe

Lookie! There's my Arnie!!!!

and more!

There are many other toy figures in display from different movies

 coooool  neuralyzer replica

As for their food, I suggest you choose other choices in the menu instead of pizza.  It was not sulit for the price. Their cream-based pesto pasta was good, something we've never tried before, but I guess I still like the oil-based pesto.
The Grinch Php280
mike chose the Armageddon pizza, it seems like they used a thin pita for the crust, yep that's how thin it was
Armageddon Php380
We also had wintermelon tea P70, it was the weirdest wintermelon tea we've tasted O_O
Total bill cost P800 pesoses (nakakapoorita avila) with service charge,  the good thing is we availed the ensogo voucher (P250 for P500 worth) and paid only additional P300.
I really love using discount voucher :p
